Travelling to Louisville & Area

Hello everyone,

Our names are Mark&Beth and we are from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are travelling to the Louisville on Wednesday for a week to watch the Derby and be tourists, and OF COURSE cache!

We were just wondering if there are any caches in the Louisville area that are MUST-DOs. This is our first caching trip out of our region and country so we want to make it a memorable one. We also want to find some benchmarks (since Canadian benchmarks don't count), and do a little Waymarking.

Oh something I just thought of... is there anything that could be hazardous (wildlife, plantlife, etc..) to people that are wandering in the woods not knowing what to look for.

It'd be great to meet some local cachers while down there, but I don't know if time will allow that. We will be bringing some of our geocoin collection (or at least our favorites!) just in case we come across other cachers along the way.

Thanks & Happy caching!!

Waverly Park has a lot of nice caches, there is something there for everyone and Iroquois Park to has some good caches as well. ;)
