+minxyy
is this the answer you were looking for?..... -28.247 If not it's wrong or I've gotten the wrong end of the stick again! Happy Easter minxyy Quote Link to comment
+Cardinal Red
That is Degrees and Decimal Degrees (DD.ddddd). Think of it like 2.21090 Hours. The Geocaching standard is Degrees, Minutes and Decimal Minutes (DD:MM.mmm). Same as 2 Hours 12.654 Minutes. Note: The math is .21090 times 60 = 12.654 Degrees and Hours are identical mathmatically. +Thrak
You can go here and get GeoCalc. It will let you put in coordinates in one format and then show you what they are in other formats. Very handy converter and it's free. Quote Link to comment
+Mudfrog
DD.DDDD is just one of the many formats used for coordinates. The easiest way i've found for converting is to just switch to the format that you are working with in your GPSr. This is easy to change in the setup menu on your GPSr. Input the DD.DDDD coordinates into the unit, name the waypoint, then go back to menu and switch back to the DD'mm.mmm format that the GC.com site uses. Now you'll see the familiar coordinates when you go back to the waypoint... Quote Link to comment

+Cardinal Red
Well that simply requires the basic math of rounding six decimal digits to five. W92.283509 = W92.28351 Quote Link to comment
