putting a cache up for adoption

I need to know if it is possible to have someone adopt one of my caches since I have moved out of the area and it is difficult for me to maintain it. I don't want to see it archived since it is at a nice location.

Place a note on the Cache page or post a forum message (regional forum here and/or local forum) announcing it is available for adoption. If you find a local Cacher willing to adopt it you can do the transfer yourself through this link: Geocaching Adoption Service

 

Of course you could just find an interested local cacher. You could archive yours and have them submit a new listing. Would allow revisits by Cachers that had already found the original.
