Hi Steve have you upgraded your unit to 3.10 without any problems? I saw on another thread that a few who had upgraded to 3.10 had issues with their electronic compass.

FWIW, I haven't had any problems that coincided with the update to 3.10. The electronic compass function behaves the same now as it did before the update. I have to recalibrate whenever I change batteries, and every once in a while (every few days maybe) the electronic compass seems to lose its way and I fix it with a recalibration.

I just tried to update mine. It updated the updater first, then after recognizing the unit, the loader messgage came up for a bit, then a message saying that there was an error communicating with the USB device. I shut it off, unplugged, and retried again with the same results. Anyone else have similar problems?

Luckily it started up OK in the old software version. Whew!

It seems like I found the problem on my own. I restarted my computer and all was well. Must have been a glitch due to the updater downloading a new version. All is well. GPS updated.
