+back2eight
I am trying to plan a route and it is not working. there is some sort of server error that happens every time. Does anyone know what is going on? Quote Link to comment
+Tharagleb
Uh, no. You haven't given us much to go on. "Some sort of server error" is not very descriptive. Please post the exact error message. I do have a suggestion, try it again with a shorter route. I believe the routes can only be 500 mi long. So try a short route (under 100 miles) and a small width (1 mile) and see if you are still getting the error and go from there. Good luck Quote Link to comment
+electricversion
I'm getting an error as well, and it does not appear to be a "server too busy" or timeout issue. The error comes up every time I try to visit the caches along a route page. The error is: Server Error in '/' Application.Index and length must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name: length Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index and length must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name: length Source Error: Line 33: <td><%# ShowIsOwnerIcon(Databinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "CreatorID")) %></td> Line 34: <td valign="top"><a href='<%# Databinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "RouteGuid", "../my/userrouteedit.aspx?rguid={0}") %>'><%# Databinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "RouteName") %></a></td> Line 35: <td><%# ConvertToDescr(Databinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Descr"), 60) %></td> Line 36: <td><%# ConvertToMiles(Databinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Distance")) %> Line 37: Miles</td> Source File: E:\Inetpub\20060815.geocaching.com\controls\UserRoutesRepeaterControl.ascx Line: 35 Looks like a small code error. If an admin needs more information, feel free to email me. Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
There's a thread over in the Geocaching.com forum. The developers read that much more than they read the Getting Started. Quote Link to comment
