+Chance Encounter
No, you will not be able to transfer the National Geographic Topo maps to your GPS unit. They display on your PC only. You can transfer waypoints, tracklogs, and routes from your GPS unit, and they will be overlaid on the PC maps, but it doesn't work the other way around. Quote Link to comment

+Chance Encounter
The Garmin MapSource Topo maps do indeed show most of the same streets that are on the City Select and City Navigator products, but only the major roads and highways have street labels attached, and you don't get most of the Points of Interest like hotels, gas stations, and so forth. You cannot autoroute on the Topo Maps. As far as the scale, I'm not sure that applies, as you can zoom in or out as much as you want. If you want to do autorouting, I suggest City Navigator v8. I agree. City Navigator is awesome if you do any traveling too! Quote Link to comment
Relic_Hunter_Finder
Reply: Evening fellow cachers! Although I'm quite pleased with the output that my Garmen GPS gives me, I wonder about other models abilities and the cost of their self-worth. Quote Link to comment
