logging a first drop

I droped both my first Hitchhiker TB and a coin today, both are activated. But I don't see how to log the drops. Do they have to be discovered first?

TB drops get logged from the Cache logs. If you had already logged the cache, then use the "Note" log type. below the text box is a list of the TBs in your inventory, you just select the ones you left in that cache, and then submit your log.

Just activated my TB TBHQMK and placed it into my re-enabled cache (Forest Trek, GCMA8D) and can't seem to get it to indicate that it is in the cache. Found several reply's on the forum to indicate how to do this but can't find the correct buttons.

 

Have tried to post a note to my cache (Forest Trek) but don't get the option to indicate a TB in my inventory. Is it a problem with the way I activated my TB? On the TB page it shows location as unknown and I can't change it.

 

Help me plz

Three things.

 

You need to grab it out of 'Unknown Location' to put it into your inventory.

 

Go to the bug page.

Copy the tracking number (Located under Trackable Item Owner Options)

Select 'Add a log entry'

Type of log: Select 'Grab it from somewhere else'

Enter in the tracking number and some comments.

Submit Log entry.

 

This will put it into your inventory so you can post a note on the cache page and drop it.

(You can even delete the grab note afterwards)

 

Second, you don't want to post photos showing the tracking number. There are people who don't play nice and will grab it away without actually finding the bug.

 

Third, nice fish.

 

(Oh, you can delete your Discover and Note as well)
