How do you Mark an address on a 76csx?

I am going to someone's house and have their address. Is there a way to put in an address on the GPS so the map will come up when I'm driving and give me the directions? I own a Garmin 76csx.

 

Do I have to use software to convert the address to longitude and lattitude?

Two ways.

 

You can use the "Find" feature and select Addresses and enter the address details. (Press find on your GPS and follow the menu).

 

Or use mapping software like Mapsource, find the address there, add a waypoint for that location and upload it to your GPS. Then on the road you would just use Find/ Waypoints, select the one you uploaded and Goto it.

 

Hmm,now that I think about it, did you upload any sort of mapping software or Garmin Trip and Waypoint Manager to your GPS?

No you don't. As Blue Deuce mentioned, all you have to do is press "find" and select address. Of course you have to have City Navigator or City Select loaded to your unit.
