geospyder
I have a TB that has not been logged in over a year. It was last retrieved on 07/27/2005. The person has not responded to any emails and has not logged a cache since July of 2005. Think it's OK to consider this TB lost, grab it back and send out a replacement using the duplicate tag? +BlueDeuce
A year is perfect, in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
geospyder
That's what I thought also. So I reincarnated it with a different personality and goal. Edited August 12, 2006 by geospyder Quote Link to comment
geospyder
What are the odds? After missing for 13 months I use the duplicate tag, attach a completely different item and reincarnate the TB. I did this two days ago. What do I find in my email today? Someone literally on the other side of the USA (I'm in NV and he is in MA) grabs the TB. It has to be the original since the dupe is still on my desk. Quote Link to comment
The Brown Scavengers
I'm curious about this. Did the person that grabbed your TB have it all this time? Or is this someone new? Could it have been traveling all this time without people logging it in? Is there a way to find out? Have you asked the person who just logged it in about it. I'm new so when you say they just grabbed it, does that mean from a cache or they just stole the number of the tb? Quote Link to comment
geospyder
The pictures do not show the number. I gather from their post that they found it in a cache, determined that it hadn't been logged and grabbed it. I'm surprised that they didn't question what they found versus what is posted on the TB page. The items are completely different. I've sent them an email requesting that they detach the tag and mail it to me. The item it was attached to they can keep. It was a very nice cast model of a yellow Hummer. Hopefully they will respond. Quote Link to comment
geospyder
Got a return email. The people's son who first spotted the TB liked it. They are sending me the tag and the boy gets to keep the Hummer. They're happy, I'm happy and the new TB will be released during my trip next month. I like happy endings Quote Link to comment
