kamtrax
I have a Brunton Atlas, which as I understand is the same as a Lowrance. Would the EasyGPS work with this, and where do you get the cable to go between the gpsr and computer? Do you hook the gpsr directly to the computer, or is there a plug in flash memory card you have to use? Thanks, Sam Quote Link to comment
+kgag
The easy gps setup has it as one of the available gps's (so it will work).. But there is not a direct link USB connection but you can get the memory card reader (or any memory card reader) to move stuff back and forth. http://www.buytelescopes.com/product.asp?pid=6179 You can read a pretty good reveiw on this product here... http://www.epinions.com/content_194053901956 that also speaks to some of the troubles / success that this user had setting it up to work with the pc. kgag. Thanks for the link. One more question, do you need to buy the card separately? The description of the reader isn't clear, and I don't see a card elsewhere on that site. If I do need a card, where can I find one. Does it have to be formatted to work in the Atlas? Thanks again, Sam Quote Link to comment
kamtrax
OK, I received the card reader for my birthday. I looked inside the Brunton, and there isn't any card in it. What brand/ size should I get? I don't want to get one and find out it won't work. Once I get a blank card, what is involved in getting it to work in the unit? Thanks, Sam Quote Link to comment
