+jimmyreno Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) My PDA with Cachemate has over a hundred entries in the found category. I'd like to put them into a GSAK database, When I click on "receive waypoints" I get the error message: receiving waypoints error sending waypoints Garmin: Can't init COM1 I tried closing the hotsync in the system tray, but that didn't make any difference. Any ideas? thx jimmy Edited February 27, 2006 by jimmyreno Quote
+jon & miki Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 (edited) Are you trying to read the PDA cachemate database directly from GSAK? I don't think that's among GSAK's native capabilities. There's a program from Smittyware that will convert a hotsynced cachemate pdb file already on your PC to a form that GSAK can read and there are some macros available on gsak.net to help with that, but I'm pretty sure you'll need to customize the macros to fit your need. You might try the forums on GSAK's website to see if anyone has a better answer for you. Edited February 27, 2006 by ikim & noj Quote

Hi On the toolbar it says GPS, when I click that, it says "receive waypoints" It looks simple, it just isn't working for me. jimmy Quote
+Red90 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 You can not receive waypoints from a PDA like froma GPSr. The receive option is for GPSrs, not PDAs. You "Export Logs" from the Cachemate menus. This places the log information into the memopad which uploads on the next hotsync. Quote

+Jurgen & co Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Do you know the macro CacheMateLog.txt in GSAK. This made for this. Quote
+Red90 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Sounds like there is something wrong with your install. Are the memos on the PDA or just not on the Palm Desktop? Quote

+Jurgen & co Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I would advise this macro Cachematelog.txt v1.4 Because this has been updated. Quote
