I have City Select 6 on my computer for my Garmin Vista which I am selling to my step dad. City Select 6 is fine for him but I will have to update his maps on my computer since he doesn't have one. If I install 7 on my computer will it automatically just overwrite 6? I don't want to use both my unlock codes for City Select 7. So can I keep both versions on my computer so that I can occasionally update the Vista with 6 and have 7 on my computer for my 60cx? Quote Link to comment
+Quoddy Posted January 30, 2006 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Both versions will still show on mapsource and as long as you don't try to load v7's into the "old" GPSr there will be no problem. I still have v5 on my computer even though I've used both of my v7 options. Quote Link to comment

Just last night I loaded CS v.7 on my same PC and used one unlock for my new 60CX. I see the different versions are saved to their own folders, and you can view either version in MapSource. They do NOT overwrite. And of course you can continue to load your step dad's GPSr with v.6. Quote Link to comment
