+combatnurse2003 Posted January 25, 2006 Share Posted January 25, 2006 My first post. I recently bought a Garmin 530 after owning a 120 I took to Kuwait and Iraq. I later found the sport of geocaching and the 120 worked great. I thought the 530 would be better. I am runnning into reliability issues. It's slower to pick upp sattelites. More important, the 530 is consistantly off by 20 meters or so, while the 120 is right on. I have recalibrated the compass. I found the defaults and made sure that when I'm under this speed for this ammount of time, it DOES NOT default to the magnetic compass. Any other suggestions? Mike Quote Link to comment
