Historic Ships

I would like to see a category for historic ships which are available to the public. I have toured many such ships, and have always been fascinated by their history and construction.

 

I'm thinking of ships which are docked in a permanent location (no longer considered active), and provide some public access, either on board (possibly for a fee) or close by.

 

Possible variables:

Propulsion type (sailing, stern/side wheelers, screw, diesel/gas/other)

Primary construction material (wood, steel, other)

Primary use when active (whaling/fishing, military, cargo, passenger, pleasure/recreational )

Date of construction

Date last active
