+purple_pineapple Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Would a TomTom POI file be installable onto other SatNavs, or are they different file types? I ask, cos GSAK and GCUK both have export/download features for that make, but not others... I would try it myself, but I haven't got mine yet! Dave Quote
+Learned Gerbil Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Various formats are used. Most devices can read exports from GSAK etc even though that might involve using a second piece of software to convert from one format to another. For example, most POI formats are variations on csv format which GSAK produces. If you look here - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php there is some info on convirting TomTom OV2 files and csv files to work on a range of systems. Quote
+Silver-Fox Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 (edited) POIEDIT software will allow you to convert from Tom Tom format to the I3 format. http://www.poiedit.com/ Edited January 18, 2006 by Silver-Fox Quote
