+Quoddy
The price of the 60C and 60CS should be coming down sharply in the very near future with the introduction of the new 60CSx with expandible memory and greatly improved reception in marginal areas. This is what Garmin users have been requesting for years. Garmin® GPSMAP® 60CSx SiRF high-sensitivity GPS receiver WAAS-enabled Meets rigid IPX-7 submersible standards Built-in basemaps with auto routing Expandable memory 64 MB TransFlash memory card included for optional downloaded maps Electronic compass Barometric altimeter Bright color TFT display USB and serial ports 160 x 240 pixels Runs for 30 hours on 2 AA batteries (not included) 2.4"W x 7.1"H x 1.3"D Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Moving from Northeast US Forum to the GPS Units and Software Forum in the hope that more responses will be found there, especially about EU specifications. Quote Link to comment
kerecsen
You may also want to check out the Quest. It comes with Mapsource in the box, which may make it significantly cheaper than getting a 60c and the maps separately. (European Garmin maps are infuriatingly expensive.) The major differences between the 60c and the quest is that it is slightly less convenient to use in hand (bad), has a built-in rechargeable batteries (question of taste), and does voice navigation (very useful).
