lonlymac
I just purchased this adapter from GPS City. http://www.gpscity.com/item-gps-city-12v-d...zipusbdcpow.htm I was hoping to use the included cable that came with the unit with this adapter for power in the car The guy from there said it would power my unit in the car. I just dont want to plug this in and ruin my GPS. Any help appreciated LC Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
That adaptor won't work. The 60C does not draw power through its USB connection. You have to get a cable that attaches to the serial (4-pin) port on the back of the 60C. I *think* that this is the one you need. Or this one with a coiled wire. Edit: Yep, it matches Garmin part no. 010-10085-00. Edited November 21, 2005 by Sputnik 57 Quote Link to comment
ImpalaBob
Ditto on what Sputnik 57 said. The adapter you bought from GPSCity will work fine for powereing any device that draws power from the USB such as a Palm PDA for paperless caching. Quote Link to comment
+slowspoke
I have a 60C also and got the plugin for/from Garmin. Don't think I'd use the one you got at any price. Just my .02 Quote Link to comment
+geoclam
In case you need a fourth for bridge (getit?) Sputnik 57 answered your question most accurately. He knows. Don't use it. (Others said the same) --edited for spelling-- Edited November 22, 2005 by geoclam Quote Link to comment
