+TMBFamily
Has this been suggested before and shot down? I'm thinking of a rating system like the customer product rating systems at various shopping sites. It could go along with the difficulty/terrain ratings but be based on an average of all user ratings. Just click on the number of stars you want to give when you log a visit. Or is this all too judgemental? Often when I find a really great cache I want to tell the world about it and a glowing log entry only goes so far. Link to comment
+Markwell
It has been suggested many times. There are two kinds of ratings that seekers could give. You could give ratings based on the terrain and difficulty that you thought it was, but that wouldn't give a "standard". I think it's best to let the hider rate the cache, and hope that they use the standards that Geocachers laid out. If I find a cache improperly rated, I'll e-mail the owner. I wouldn't want to wait for an "average" to bring it to the correct rating for terrain or difficulty. The other type of user rating is if you liked the cache or not. This also has been suggested many times. Here's the most recent version. Be sure to read the WHOLE thread to see what would come out of it... Here's two prominent posts... What I had originally suggested eons ago. Jeremy's response Link to comment
