Ifinder Go2 Undocumented Feature

Hi all,

 

After three years of it sat in my rucksack I'm trying to communicate with my Ifinder to upload some routes. I've made a lead as per the pin outs on this forum. The pin continuity seems fine.

 

I'm having problems sending data to the GPS (Hyperterminal receives data from the GPS fine). I've tried uploading with Hyperterminal and GPS babel but the points do not appear in 'My Waypoints' (I assume this is where they should appear).

 

I've tried it with all combinations of the NEMA input and output options but no luck.

 

I note my revision is higher than the ones discussed here (1.4.0 / Build JR999C) I hope they haven't blocked the feature with the update

 

Does anyone have any ideas of what to try next (I'll try anouther PC since I've not used the serial port on this one before).
