kerecsen
Amazon is having a sale of some sorts on Garmin receivers. The prices aren't earth-shattering, but there are some decent deals to be had... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/brows...5601138-9580157 Quote Link to comment
+scott9282
That's no sale on the 60C. Two days ago the regular price listed was $349.99! Now they want $30 more and call it a sale? Interesting. Quote Link to comment
kerecsen
It's limited to only some units, typically low-end bw handheld ones and car navigation (c330, quest, etc.). I have to agree, it's really weird that the 60cs is only $1.62 more expensive than the 60c Quote Link to comment
tholt4
For the Quest: List Price: $642.99 Buy new: $369.94 Not the best deal either. The list price from Garmin is now $499.99, and I just purchased one for $346.74 + $9.95 S/H from provantage.com Quote Link to comment
+JasperCowe
Amazon is having a sale of some sorts on Garmin receivers. The prices aren't earth-shattering, but there are some decent deals to be had... Amazon is okay, since there's often no sales tax or shipping, but watch out if you add something from one of their online merchants to your cart. I was all set to order an Etrex basic model, case, and car adapter for 117.00 plus shipping. The car adapter was from "GPS For You" because it was 23.90 versus 27.00 for the Amazon one. Of course, the free shipping doesn't apply to vendors outside Amazon. I figured the price would still beat Walmart's $110.00 combo deal (plus tax and shipping, while supplies last). The shipping and handling for "GPS For You" was 26 dollars and some change, which seemed a tad high. The lesson for today: if you order from a web merchant via Amazon, PAY ATTENTION to what they're charging you. Deal with "GPS For You" (somehow related to "Grateful Biz Marketing") cautiously if at all. Read the itemized amounts BEFORE you approve and submit the order! I didn't submit the order. +the hermit crabs
Same here -- I almost ordered a Vista C from Amazon for $291 recently, except that it turned out to be $315 when they added Office Depot's shipping and sales tax. I ended up getting one from AsenaShop for $276 instead, with free shipping and no tax. Quote Link to comment
