+cosninocanines Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I'm headed to Palo Alto on Thursday 8/25 and I have encountered a number of cache sites that claim to be offset. I have not seen this before and would like to know what this means. Please help! Quote
+The Leprechauns Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Offset caches are the simplest form of a multicache, and are properly listed under that cache type. Examples of offset caches: 1. Go to the posted coordinates. To find the cache, take a compass bearing of 153° magnetic, and go 120 feet. 2. Find the historic marker at the posted coordinates. Manipulate the numbers on the marker using a formula on the cache page, and you'll get the coordinates for the cache hidden a short distance away. Quote
