I understand that they are not the same thing. I need one or the other to complete the 7 Souvenirs of August. However, I was also having a hard time finding any earth caches in my area. But thanks to Terratin they showed me where there was some near me.

Hello, I'm fairly new to Geocaching, and I'm trying to complete the 7 Souvenirs of August. However the only one i'm going to be missing is the nature/earth cache. Is there a way to complete this one if there is no CITO event in my area? I tried looking on my map for an earth cache, but I didn't see one. Maybe someone can help me.
