  1. I have had an issue in my area with a cacher that has moved but his family still lives here.Ran across three caches that are missing. Sent e-mails about the first one offering to check on it if he would tell me where it is supposed to be with no responce. I confirmed it missing with another cacher. In additions there are no trespassing signs in the area now. Not until I posted a needs archived was there any responce from the owner. The second was confirmed missing last Friday,a needs maintenance was posted. The third was confirmed missing today. Both of these have logs stating they are missing since summer of last year. I posted Needs Archived on them this morning and within minutes one was archived and the other disabled and my log deleted. The one that he archived is right next to a school. Poor location with no parking signs all up and down the road.
  2. Lighten up Francis. Thats funny, the post I was responding to is gone.
  3. I became a member to support the site. It cost money to run a site like this and the people that run it deserve to get paid. As for the FTFs it's not really a big deal to me.
  4. Good old fashioned tar and feathering should do the trick.
  5. Something else to consider is the Legend is going to give you trouble under a heavy canpoy of leaves or in a valley. I used mine for about two weeks into spring and then bought a 60CSx. It will be fine if you are doing urban caches or not getting into thick woods.
  6. Sorry I had to laugh when I read that.
  7. Look at it this way. Alot of caches a $3 item from Wal-mart would be a fair trade for everything else that in it.So trade away
  8. Sounds like time for a tar and feather party. It might work wonders.
  9. Like a scratched record (CD for the younger crowd) people tend to discard the opinion of some that says the same thing over and over again.
  10. Where is the trouble. The cache is no longer available and it has been archived. The system worked as it should.
  11. Thats great. I'm planning on starting from scratch and not counting any of the finds I already have.
  12. I'm a fun lovin' criminal. Sorry, a line from a song I once heard.
  13. Thats a good point. I am planning one myself and had not thought about that. How many pages are you planning for the weekend?
  14. You will have to re-register in the forums. The website and forums are seperate
  15. I could care less about numbers. We do it for the same reasons you mentioned. I dont mind driving from cache to cache but once we get there or at least close by, its more fun (to us) to go find the cache, than to drive around looking to park. Thats just us. We load our system full of caches and just drive. If we get 3 in a day great. It doesnt matter to us in the least. When we don't want to do it anymore- we go home. Its become apparent that some people like them and some dont. And some like them only in certain circumstances. Maybe it should be like the hint is- and extra bit of info- if you wish to use, that can help you if you choose to use it to park. Of course i dont think it should be coded. Ok, and you have made your point more than once in this thread.
  16. I think maybe it's that some people have to go out and find 15 caches between 2 pm and 5pm, and they get all upset when they get off schedule. I always take more than I can do with me. If I stop having fun I go home. Why get bent out of shape for something that is supposed to be fun?
  17. I usually don't log a DNF unless I looked for a long time or I won't be able to get back for a while. If I had to leave because of muggles or I ran out of time I may leave a note or may just include it when I find.
  18. What does it matter? If the details were fabricated the issue still exists. (Whether or not anyone feels it is an important issue/problem is another issue.) I dont care either way. I can dig up caches i think may apply but what would be the point of that? Please stop being a PITA. And with this I am done with this person. Life is to short.
  19. Take them to Wal-mart after Wal-mart till they said "This is stupid" .I would say exactly and then show them what Geocaching really is.
  20. Or what kind of junk would end up in the caches. Thanks for the info. Cool stuff.
  21. I did three caches this morning, logged them all. None of them are showing as checked off on the search pages and the last found date has not been updated. All of my logs are on the pages. Any ideas?
