  1. Well it has to be Jenna, who also named it The Liberator
  2. First it was maps, which Edgemaster has resolved but I also notice that the Cache Setters description has been changed to include a 'description' of the type/size of the cache. So my puzzle ? caches now say:- a not chosen cache by 2202 or a micro cache by 2202 or a event cache by walkergeoff and Mr Dewdrop (can not get their grammar right there) Too much tinkering methinks.
  3. Frank Zappa Well thats certainly a DING for SlytherinAlex. Never thought I'd see the day when Dinah-Moe Humm was mentioned in the same breath as caching. (Kiss my aura, dora, M..m..m its real angora)
  4. Well you could not buy a pint of beer with it these days if you were in said pub quiz.
  5. I thought Silverstone, but then I thought SPA, the best circuit of all ecept Uncle Bernie does not like it
  6. A Big Fat DING to Nediam The iconic image is indeed Christine Keeler sat on a copy of Arne Jacobsen's 3107 chair Original to left, copy to right....IKEA, MFI, John Lewis etal all now sell copies. with one of the many copies............. Full story can be viewed here at the V&A
  7. First real clue..........its black and white, but the prop now comes in many colours but white tends to be favourite. (the Marriane Faithfull suggestion was warmish though
  8. Possible late entry here Alison as I have a non working businessman's Nokia that with a suitable located drill I can attach a tag to. I reckon that Kiwi Gary's offer of a race to NZ is a good one. Get him to set up a receiving cache. Just call it something on the lines 'Cache to PAF to Cache Race' If the Finland idea takes of I have some Finnish caching contacts.
  9. No, no and no. Its all on display in one of the great London Museums. And think.........why should SP know about this!
  10. Closer to home, than the purveyor of 15 minutes of fame. Remember, its a copied icon, with an equally much copied icon prop.........you may even have some in your home.
  11. Good try Sharpeset, for indeed that has been much copied but where's the prop? Not the one I'm after.
  12. Maples are everywhere (Maples are trees or shrubs in the genus Acer). Common one you will find is the Field Maple. I'm in Oxford and have three in the garden and there are three large ones nearby and even our neighbour has a fine variegated one on our boundary. Get yourself an Observers Book of Trees or something similar and you wont go wrong, and may learn a thing or two.
  13. In the absence of SP, I'll set a question that I would have precluded SP from as he should know it. Picture Question. What iconic 60's image has been much copied, and whose main prop, another modern icon, (a bastardised copy itself), but has since been much copied. A ding for the image and a ding for the much copied prop, and a further ding if you can show a copy of the image.
  14. oOOOO-OOOO-OOOO-oo They were showing off! How about oOOOOo ooOOOOoo oOOO ooOOo
  15. Where do you intend to go? Knowing that, the locals might be able to supply you with something you can use.
  16. Rechargables every time plus you can have an in car charger unit which keeps them 'perky' when out on the road. Also understand Maplin do photovoltaic charges cheap
  17. Its called the HEP (Hydro Ejective Power) Cache and walking through a forest with a 2 litre empty container does look a bit stupid, but it worked. Great area for a days caching
  18. Dirty dealings....manipulation, same thing...so the rumours were true then!
