  1. Thank you Pub Patrol! I used those links you gave me and I found a event about an hour away on the 30th of August! I noticed a bunch of people in my area are going to attend! You are the best thanks again! http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC590CH_7soa-socializer
  2. Okay, thanks a bunch. Maybe myself and the friend I cache with will have to host a few events around us! Love this community, so helpful I'm glad I found the forum.
  3. I've looked all over for about 30 minutes. I'd like to know if there is anyway to search for events being held close to my current location. I'm looking for any events close to Mulberry, FL 33860. Trying to get the souvenir and I'd like to branch out and meet some people in the geocaching community. Thanks for any help
  4. condom, tampon, and used deodorant.
  5. I would always go on walking trails at state parks here in Florida. On some of the trail maps I would always see "geocaching" under the activities. I never really paid it any attention, I looked it up one time, but didn't look that much into it. About a month ago after visiting all of the state parks close by many and many times, I figured maybe geocaching could add some new excitement and take me to hidden spots at the places I like to go. It sure did! I was shocked at all of the caches hidden in some of the places I visit on a weekly basis. I love this hobby!
  6. Thanks for the help everyone! I've noticed in some of the 'series' in my area, a lot of them are wet and the logs online indicate that they have been for a while so I figured I could be a helping hand and swapping it out for a dry one. I have noticed it's mainly the micros that get wet. I tend to find a lot of the bottle cap glued together, and they always seem to be wet. Found a ammo can yesterday tipped over and completely soaked inside. It sure doesn't help that it has rained here every day for the past 2 weeks. Got to love the florida summer rain storms! Thanks again everyone, so helpful!
  7. Awesome! Thanks! I didn't want to 'step on any ones toes' or upset someone by messing with the log. So just toss the ruined one?
  8. I live here in Florida, and I seem to run across A LOT of ruined logs from being wet. Is it generally okay to replace the log with a dry properly labeled log? I have searched for the answer I could not seem to find one, sorry if this is a repeat question (I'm sure it is)
