Yes. Same here. But there's no sense screaming about it. The world won't come to an end if we can't adopt a cache in the next 24 hours while they find and fix the problem.
Can we scream now ? 24 hours and still not working and how do you know the world won't come to an end if we can't adopt a cache or geocoin?
Q: Does silence about an issue solve it faster?
A: NO !
By the way, this post is just to keep this topic in sight.......maybe someone who can fix the issue will see it and get the function working.
Many have requested that adopting listings be a PMO only feature. Maybe this is in the works?
And geocoins too? That seems almost criminal if that's the case. Listings is one thing but ownership of property is another.

Anyone else having trouble accepting an adoption from the link in the email?
When someone enters an adoption request at geocaching.com/adopt the person being invited to adopt the cache gets an email with a link asking them to confirm their acceptance.
I get this error when I go to that link...
YES, NOT WORKING TODAY !!! YES, I AM SCREAMING AS I WANT TO ADOPT OUT SOME ITEMS AND CANNOT DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first one that I have seen that someone released. I think it is ok to give out this reference #TB2FCMN . I took a couple of pic and will take a couple of more. I was able to find the cache and felt kinda lucky to have this coin still in the cache so I can help it on its way! Like I said in my log, it is too bad I am not going to florida until Febuary sometime I could have put a few extra miles on it! O-well, I am glad this person reeased there coin and I got to help it on its way.
I thought you might enjoy watching one of your coins. I hope after I release it again, hopefully within a week or two at the most,it stays moving a safe for awhile.

Well shoot! The first one I have seen released, I grab, place in a cache, and it gets muggled. I feel just horrible.
What do you do I guess. I just wish it could have made it a little longer!!Then I may just have to activate a number of coins and drop some "activated coins" into caches instead of dropping unactivated coins. Stay tuned.

I'm still alive. I am just detained at this time. I will be back in action by November. More work to do for the Christmas Season at that time so keep this thread alive.

V3 arrived today. What a beauty! Even better than the V2. I have gotten the thumbs up from the higher up to raffle it off and have a geocaching booth set up. They was very excited to hear my story,plan and the fact that it will all go to the United Way. You should have seen their faces when I decribed who the GSA was and what he is about. Can't wait till we put it out to the whole plant. Bet there will be plenty of folks asking me about the GSA and geocaching.
Now to put together the activities for the booth and additional items for the raffle. I was thinking of a ready to hide cache and swag. Maybe a gas card since I know the pains of filling up to just go geocaching. But hey it's worth every penny.
I will keep the thread posted of the progression of my mission as things happen.
This is what the GSA V3 is all about. Excellent work Agent Koolbrez. You will soon be promoted for your work and efforts.

American Cancer Society.
While I have a few favorite charities, right now with cancer touching so closely to my heart, I would have to say the American Cancer Society tops my list. Cancer, just the word makes me sad! I would love to see this nasty scourge erased from our lives.
My use for this coin: I'd add tracking numbers to this coin (TB tag) so I could give it the mission to raise awareness of the need for research into how to find a cure and end this monster's reign of terror once and for all! I'd also stress that EVERYONE should be tested...get a check-up! I'd not send the coin out as it wouldn't last long out there I fear, but I would take it to every event I attend and I'd share it with as many people as I could!

Do we physically have to release the coins? I have several I need to activate and I could drop them electronically for mileage purposes, but dont want to release them into the wild. Please advise.
Yes, physically released. So far no winner and today is the deadline.

A V2 GSA coin to the cacher who activates the most coins and drops them in a cache at least 16km (10 miles) from their home in the next 48 hours.
To qualify you must post the number of coins activated and dropped here. These coins must be activated no earlier than today and dropped at least 10 miles (16km) from your home.
