  1. Good point. I am finding the game a bit dull at the moment, though.
  2. The static goal idea just doesn't work. The ball will just get nudged back and forth. What about having a random goal or goals that regenerate every day/couple of days/week? It just needs someone impartial to generate the goals. This is how it would work - using the G:UK cache stats, you look how many caches there are (1283 today). You then use a random number generator to generate a number between 1 and 1283. The corresponding cache then becomes a goal, say for a week, and this info gets posted in a dedicated thread. I would recommend using more than one goal at a time, and either team could score in any goal. The benefits are: 1. this will keep peoples interest. If I know the ball is nowhere near me, I don't check the game for weeks, and then forget about it. If I knew the goals changed every sunday, I would check every sunday and stay interested. 2. Everyone has a chance to score. I've no chance of popping up in the south of England just in time to score a goal at the moment. What do you think?

(meant to post this in the general TB football thread so will cut and paste there also)
  4. I have to agree, that is a good logo... VOTE FOR ME! VOTE FOR ME! VOTE FOR ME!
  5. The shape represents points of a compass. The colours and the leafy appearance represent the crossover with nature and the outdoors. The typeface was selected carefully and was intended to convey a bright and breezy, fun feeling. course, if you want a picture of a GPSr with a union jack behind it...
  6. Checked the rules and there's nothing about canvassing so: Vote for my logo! No. 15 www.geocacheuk.com Hey, 5 TB tags is 5 TB tags! (I started this thread to publicise my logo and to allow people to post full size logos for consideration - mine looks really small on G:UK - please feel free to exhibit your logo or post your comments below) [This message was edited by Team Galaxy on February 07, 2003 at 03:15 AM.] [This message was edited by Team Galaxy on February 07, 2003 at 03:17 AM.]
  7. SimonG, out of curiosity, I clicked on your link - you are a very funny man! Pass on my regards to J Mosthem.
  8. If letterboxers have finally settled on this policy, surely there is something in it? I know there are other threads that have done this subject to death, but as an advocate of this policy, I would be interested to know what led to the letterboxers instigating this rule.
  9. I've just done it, and I feel GREEEAAATTT!!! Er...what happens now?
