I'm currently working on getting permission as I know that he Red Poppy is very sacred to the Returned Serviceperson Associations, and I do not want to offend or step on any toes. I will post a new thread when I have that permission and some more details (like vendor, design, etc). I am thinking that it will be a coin and pin pair. I am proposing that a set amount from each sale would got to the R.S.A.

Now we just need to draw straws to see who of us gets which colour (I want red or yellow), and come up with starting date and missions...

Is it too late to sign up a location for this? When would be the latest I could? I was thinking we could do this 'down under'. And could someone please send me a copy of the organiser notes - to my email address craig.elms@gmail.com. Thanks. keewee

That's a great idea; I'd still do it. There's nothing wrong with having another Poppy coin, and having it honor and benefit servicemen would be a wonderful thing. Done then. It will be a while before I have anything concrete. Plan was to do a poppy each year and change it slightly so that it will be different from previous years. Be it a slightly different design, different metal, etc.

OMG - I was actually starting planning to do a ANZAC poppy geocoin, with the hope of having it ready for ANZAC Day 2008. I was going to approach the RSA to seek permission to use the red poppy/black centre. Idea was the a set amount from each coin sold would go to the RSA. Was going to do it was a Geocoin/pin set.

Hi folks! Looks like the coins "won't" make the Saturday delivery as promised!! Apparently the mint had some problems with the two-tone plating and only have about a 1/3 of the order ready to ship. I've been told that they will do everything possible over the weekend to finish up and ship the order to us on Monday. We 'should' have the entire order in hand on Tuesday morning and will begin shipping right away. As many of you have heard here in the forums lately, the mints have been having quite a time getting orders out on time as well as getting them out "correctly" - it's frustrating to say the least.....this is the 3rd change in shipping dates for this order! What's really annoying is NOT finding out until this evening that our promised "Saturday" delivery isn't happening!! We're really sorry for the delay, everyone is really excited, as we are, to get these cute turtles in hand!! I'm confident the wait will be well worth the reward!!! A few years ago they deregulated the power industry here to spur competition and lower prices.... only ever seen higher prices... much higher prices.

Well Looooong Story behind this one, Me+no lawyer+Her+high$$ lawyer = Me getting a raw deal. That would have to be a very sucky judge or whoever to allow that. Oh my gosh!!! I'll bet that someone from the forum who was lucky enough to get the coins will take care of you--I hope so! OUCH!!! What finish are you short on? I've offered trades already to a number of the regulars in here who've missed out. What I can do is take stock of where I am at with those, and if I have one of the finish left that you are after I could trade with you. I have to say that I did make a few offers to people (some already had people offer and so didn't need my trade, so I moved on to the next person seeking) and as such I may not have one left to trade now. But will have a look and have a work out and see if I have one left.

Gift horse, mouth... What's in side, what's in side!??? Is it a Copper FSM geocoin?? Is it? Is it? Finally had a look at the thread and had a good laugh... I wonder if this coin is immune to the FSM effect?

I am seriously thinking about releasing one, but I need to see if I have one left to release after I make all the trades I've promised to those who missed out on them in the initial sale. It would be really, really cool to see some of these 'in the wild'.
