  2. I wanna win that coin! Oh yeah Happy Easter Everyone.
  3. Thanks Mr.0, I couldn't find anything on it. Sorry about the wrong forum Keystone.
  4. What does waterproof to IPX-7 mean? Waterproof obviously but how water proof?
  5. Oh, dear! Water is a chemical! Oxygen is a chemical. Salt is a chemical. Everything you come into contact with, everyday of your life is a chemical!
  6. All my finds have been this winter. It can be done, sometimes you just have to dig a litlle. Most of the time they are hidden in spots that aren't getting the 6" of snow. Trunk of trees etc.. Boots, gloves, and toque(winter hat for you Americans that don't know what I'm talking about) and you are set.
  7. Why are they in US $??? Isn't this the Canadian thread? You guys are from Ontario so why sell in US $?
  8. Outdoor stuff would be good. Such as bug repellent wipes, mosquito head nets, small pocket knifes. That sort of thing would be cool to find.
  9. USE NO CHEMICALS!!!!! Isn't part of geocaching seeing the area? Chemicals in the water=no good. If everyone started using chemicals to sink or help hide there caches we would all be in big trouble, the earth is already screwed up enough without people who enjoy the earth(geocachers) leaving a huge mark on it.
  10. You should take all the FTF prizes since that's what they are First to Find and that was you. Goob job by the way 11 of 12 incredible.
  11. J=24 K=24 Good topic I was just wondering this myself.
  12. I've gotten to the point where I don't take a "trinket" unless I can turn it into a travel bug and re-release it back into the game. I'm always on the look out for keychains or McToys that can easily be attached to a tag. How do you turn something into a TB? Do you have TB's sitting around your house? Where do you get the tag from?
  13. Got it! Thanks a lot.
  14. Thanks for the help. What do you mean just don't leave TB and take trinkets? So does that mean always take a TB if it's there?
  15. If you take a TB what do you leave? You are supposed to leave something of equal value but how do you do that? Do you just take the TB and leave nothing? What is the rules on TB's? Thanks for the help
  16. Well like the title says, I was wondering how everyone started geocaching. Share your story of how it all began. I was reading the Toronto Sun (newspaper) about 6 months or so ago. I read an article about KSACat (geocacher) finding a cache in Toronto. It was something like a stay at a hotel in the city or something like that. It was a small newsartcle that briefly explained geocaching. I cut the article out brought it home hit up www.geocaching.com and was very interested in the hobby and how many caches were around my area. At Chirstmas my wife bought me a GPS unit and so it begins. Still new to it and having fun. Share your story of how you got involved.
  17. In case you missed it I said I was new to this. No need to reply if you are going to be snotty about it.
  18. Thanks for the feedback. I'm taking that the overall choice is that you just do it to see your surroundings and how the cache is hidden. J'nK
  19. As the title says, I was wondering what the most valuable thing is you have found at a cache. I've only been caching for about 1 month and all I ever seem to find is dollar store items. Is this the norm or are there caches out there that actually have value in them? I would really like to find some with value. Thanks J'nK
