  4. How does $250 sound? That's less than half price. If anybody is interested in this Garmin GPS please feel free to email me at: snarlyoldman ( at ) yahoo ( dot ) com If I don't get any responses in a day or two I'll throw it up on EBay and see what kinda bids I get. Snarly
  5. Colorado 400T for sale. I would post a picture but if you are interested in buying you probably already know what it looks like. Comes with everything that was in the box originally. Only used a couple of time. Has been on the shelf since then. Tested yesterday and it still works just fine. John (SnarlyOldMan)
  6. Wow - three years ago and an Earthmate duck taped to a colander. I've come a long way. Now I'm caching with a Nuvi 205W and a HTC EVO for everything else.
  7. I have had an HTC EVO from Sprint for about a week now and have taken it out caching a couple of times. Previously I've used an Etrex, Colorado 400T, and NUVI 205W. They all have their good points. However, the EVO is the best so far for paperless. I did run into a few gliches today trying to find the closest caches. I had to fiddle back and forth between my location on the map and the cache list to get it to find the actual closest cache. Tomorrow I'm going to get my Nuvi 205W back up and running. This one works really well for getting you close to the cache. I'll still use the EVO for finding and logging the caches. Happy Caching! Snarly Old Man
  8. I've used GeoBeagle a couple of times now on my new HTC EVO android phone. Today I was having problems getting it to show the closest caches. I would have to go to a map, then list MY LOCATION, and then select caches from there. Otherwise it was just all over the place. Maybe there is a trick to this I don't know yet. I'll keep fiddling around with it. Happy Caching! Snarly Old Man
  9. What type of glue would work best with Lock&Lock containers? I've tried Superglue and the kind of glue you have to mix together. It just peels right off the container. Anybody?
  10. Any folks in the area interested in getting together to form a formal/informal geocachers group in this area. From the number of hides and finds in this area it seems like we may have enough folks to do something like this. Interested? Post a note.' Snarly Old Man
  11. January 30 by snarlyoldman (19 found) Woooohoooo!!!! Ten days after a DNF on this one I went back and found it. Could have found it the first time. The hand held didn't really put me any closer. See, I could have saved $$$ on my eTrex and just kept on caching with the Earthmate duck taped to my head! Took "Geocaching is Fun" pencil and left the Texas Mini geocoin and a Happy Meal Hummer toy. The snow must have melted pretty fast, hardly any at all there today. I couldn't let this one go unfound! My plan was to run up and follow the cacher's footprints who had found it on Monday. As luck would have it the snow was mostly gone and I had to do it the old fashioned way. Look for it. But GCYOMO is finally in the books for me!
  12. Glad you liked it! My latest adventure story on geocaching is posted here on my webpage.
  13. Whatever works! I'm saving up for my 60CSx www.snarlyoldman.com (this web site is semi-family friendly)
  14. Geez, thanks guys. I'm glad you think my misery out there is funny. Just wait till next month when I get my 60CSx. Then I'll show you! Snarly
