  1. Somone once told me, the forums are like the wild wild west.. watch what you say, watch who you say it to. And most of all, watch out for the guys with the guns
  2. Here's another one I've done just recently, Diffrent pattern (tiger stripe) same paint. Even used the same stencil for the geocaching.com Also painted a few micros.
  3. I think a new rule should be implimented for events. Trackables at the event should Ither: A ) Belong to someone who is attending the event. B ) Have the permision of the owner to be at the event. or C ) Be made or bought for the event. Trackables are well known event graveyards, it is time we do something about it. I belive it is the event organisers job to buy or gather trackables that ahear to atleast a b or c. And not ride the back of the caching community by using everyones (moreover those who are not at the event no care about it) trackables, miss-using them (on display on tables) then getting them lost or stolen. It should be the organsers job to make his/her event look good, Not ours, not at the cost of OUR trackables. Thanks.
  4. Yeah for sure, or what if the thing was not even a flash drive but some computer chip baker... Or some kind of bomb.. lol Nah, but serisouly anyone with a virus scanner shouldn't be worried, but yeah being in cold, moist, wet and possibly very HOT could very well end its life.
  5. Don't know if it counts, but here's my caching partner. Hasn't found one yet, but gets lots of looks lol.
  6. Yeha, a TB would be a good idea, but as said above, you cannot protect it from viruses.. And also many people do not show pictures of themself. Or have a laptop. I think the best Idea would be a TB. cause the person almost always brings it home. How about a MP3 TB? that collects mp3s? Or the picture of your pets TB? Heh, lots of possibilities.
  7. I personaly do not double log, but as there is no rule that says you cannot, you may do as you wish, but if a cache owner dislikes your double find he will remove it. I do not see the problem ether way, since to me, numbers are just that. numbers do not make the cacher. And anybody worried about other people double finding for numbers obviously numbers are the point of the game for them. I say do what you want, if you choose to double find, every time you look as how many you've found, you will know that number includes ones you've gone back to. If you choose not to double find, you know that number represents the number of diffrent caches you've been to. I don't think anyone should have a problem with numbers since you can just click on a profile and see for yourself if they have double found. It's just oranges and apples.
  8. Sorry about the picture quality, I only have a 640x480 palm pilot camera, here's another shot in better light.
  9. Yeah that'd be cool, you would only need a 16 - 32mb one, small pictures and textfiles
  10. One of our caches started to give the other day, it's a 3 year old lock n lock, Cracks in the corners are letting in the moisture. So I set out to get a better cache box, so I won't have to replace it again . I've always liked ammo boxes, but they are all beaten up, sratched and rusted. After all they have been to war.. So as a "face lift" and as some protection I... Sanded the old box down, hammerd out a few dents, Sanded it some more, primed it, then painted it with a 4 color cammo scheam.. I know it looks %100 better, and I hope it will last longer than the last cahce box. Being metal with new primer and paint it should be a while before this one starts rusting. heh.
  11. Cool Idea, but I doubt the majority of cachers have laptops. You might want to put a (do not take this home to log) note. heh. I was also thinking a while back of putting a cheep palm pilot in a cache as a log book.. But then disliked the idea of going to change the bateries every week. lol
