  1. Surely he should be given time off work for something this important?! Alleluia.
  2. I've done a few in the dark, with no more trouble than during the day. As someone said already, you're unlikely to be meet anyone in a rural area (especially if it's raining..) but you need to keep your wits about you to avoid scaring urban folks by creeping about the bushes at night. Might seem like a daft point, but it's surprisingly dark in the country.
  3. Excellent script. I've used Firefox for years, but have never tried greasemonkey before. Thanks for the work involved.
  4. Interesting discussion. I'm fairly new to caching, and I spent a considerable amount of time reading the FAQ and other guidelines on geocaching.com, but I was not aware that TBs were to be treated differently from swaps (other than their having a 'mission' of course.) So till now I've just swapped them as I would anything else. To be honest, other than geocoins and TBs I've only ever seen what could (politely) be described as plastic junk in caches to date anyway.
  5. Managed to get the GSAK Anquet macro working without too much trouble, and even to customise a 'Found' version. I've just added a set of customised Garmin waypoint icons from the GSAK forum to my vista Cx too. It ought to make spur of the moment caching more successful.
  6. Thanks very much for this, I am wrestling with it now.
  7. I, too, have used Anquet for walking before caching and also find it good for caching. There is a macro for exporting caches from GSAK by BandMandMandA and the latest version of anquet )6.2.2.0) now includes a GPX import which is the thing that has been missing up to now. See this thread. and the macro is in the GSAK forum Macro Library Thanks for the tip, it's greatly appreciated, even though it's given me a headache already
  8. I've used Anquet Mapping for planning walking routes on a PC for years. It seems to work fine for caching too.
