Wiem, że wątek stary, ale z racji tego, że ostatnio zrobiłem swojemu Garminowi kuku, a potem go dobiłem próbując go naprawić, zacząłem polegać wyłącznie na telefonie. Będę chciał jeszcze zrobić kilka testów z A&MPowym Garminem jak będzie okazja, ale wychodzi na to, że nieuzasadnione jest dla mnie kupowanie następnego Garmina. To, co niektórzy pisali, że garminy mają też Glonass to prawda (GPSMap ma jeszcze Galileo), ale telefony już też, a dodatkowo wychodzi na to, że np. mój telefon łapie nawet system Chińczyków (Glonass też tylko uciekł z ekranu). Keszowałem ostatnio kilka razy w lesie i było nieźle, a pamiętam czasy jak Lumia 950XL miała rozstrzały w lesie rzędu 20m, a i tak tęskniłem za jej GPSem po przesiadce na S8. Miałem 2 Garminy więc mam porównanie i mogłem obserwować, jak się ta granica zaciera. Dokładając do tego wygodę aplikacji typu C:geo, niestety podejrzewam, że do Garmina już nie wrócę (tak, wiem że w najnowszych jest Geocaching Live, ale ergonomia i szybkość pobierania danych ssie). Co do wachnięć pozycji na telefonie to jest to prawda ale wszystkiemu jest winna... "dokładniejsza" lokalizacja Google. To hovno potrafi wprowadzać losowe przekłamania i to we wszystkich telefonach w okolicy (raz siedzieliśmy z Michałem na ławeczce i mieliśmy obaj odpalone C:geo, które pokazało nam nagle pozycję 50m dalej w tej samej chwili). Ja w swoim podczas keszowania to wyłączam i znikają problemy z kompasem, wirtualne wycieczki na sąsiednią ulicę i tym podobne. Czyli generalnie jest dokładnie odwrotnie niż w opisie opcji...

O ile zgadzam się z tym, że warto najpierw znaleźć 100, a nawet 500 keszy, o tyle my, keszerzy mamy tendencję do przeceniania tego, co widzą ludzie, którzy nie wiedzą, że tam jest kesz. A cienki drucik potrafi się ukryć nawet przed oczami szukającego.

You're "fixing" things that weren't broken and nobody asked for changes, but setting the new cache notifications still has the ergonomy of a 20 yo web page despite this topic being raised on this forum. While I can't answer to the why, I recommend PowerQuery in MS Excel. It should parse the XML file just fine and show you most important data from the beginning. I haven't tested it with this file yet but I was able to use it with the all finds pocket query (which is also an XML) for challenges based on cache names.

I meant caches in general, not only labs (the character limit is sort of justification here). I literally mastered my phone's OCR features while doing the "tourist" WiGo in Dresden. It was a struggle to find any other caches that weren't traditional. I believe only one or two COs we're an exception there. I've cached in over 10 countries now and Germany was the worst when it comes to English listings.

During one Mega event the lab caches were combined with AR (you had to use AR to get the password). The main problem with this is the character limit as you would have to include instruction.

I just went through crating an adventure Today. What hit me the most was the character limit (1024) for describing the locations (and the adventure itself). It might be enough for labs at a Mega events but it's dramatically little for long term caches. Especially if you don't want to play it the German way and you want to include English description as well. If the caracters limit is here to stay, I'd really want to see some attributes (preferably for each location separately). If I don't have space to put in the opening hours of a place, a simple attribute should encourage the players to google them and not be disappointed once they reach the coordinates.

I'm pretty sure you have to add a little for acceleration and deceleration. Also, you'll have to refill your car at least once (and empty your bladders more than once). Finally, it's just BS

As for my personal feelings of someone who did a powertrail once with the result of 613 (we did only 18h, without cache switching, one car only and with assigned roles), I'd say I wouldn't believe more than 1200-1500 a day. Optimization has its limits.

I'd argue the challenge is still attainable becasue you can still have events and CITOs. Some challenges require x number of events and they are valid even if there is no event published in the area at given time.

Kleszczy złapałem zero, ugryzienia były tylko tam, gdzie nie posmarowałem.

Poprzednia edycja byłą wybitnie nielosowa. Widać było, że poza revami liczył się staż (było chyba kilka wyjątków od tej reguły). Teraz IMHO było na prawdę losowo.

Yes, having challenges as separate cache types is something I've been hoping for for a long time. As for the rest issues covered in this topic, you can't fix every wrong doing with a system patch. If a CO sets incorrect attributes, it's his fault, not the site administrators. What should be done in such situation is mentioning the wrong assignment in the logs. I have to disagree with this one. A multi is a "look and calculate" type of cache. You should be able to easily calculate final or next stage once you find necessary data (finding the data might be hard though - e.g. hidden in a well camouflaged container). A puzzle is a cache where you (usually) have to solve problems or bring additional knowledge. So for an example: "Go to N00 00.000 E00 00.000, find the last date on the tablet and use the digits for the following formula (...)" - Multicache "Go to N00 00.000 E00 00.000, read the description on the tablet. Who is it about? Us the birth date of that person in the following formula (the birth date isn't on the tablet)" - A puzzle. "Go to N00 00.000 E00 00.000, there is a mystery box which you have to open to sign the logbook" - A puzzle. Of course there are many grey areas but for me the above is the main diffrentiation.

That would be true for a traditional cache. With a puzzle, you don't usually measure the posted coordinates. Also, I'll be measuring the final once it's there. Right now I needed a listing page with a GC code.

Hi,, I'm still frustrated so I'll just get to the point: I live in one part of the contry but have a family home in another, which I visit on a regular basis. I create caches in or near my hometown as well because A - there are very few there, B - I'm able to do maintenance a few times a year. I've just been through a process of creating a new listing for a puzzle, where I wanted to adjust the posted coordinates based on the map the form displays (so they don't point to a cemetery or a private business by accident). I had to close the warning about 20-30 times! I realize this might have been caused by the method the developers chose (probably text box value change event), but the way it ends up working is just absurd.When I press the confirm button, it means I acknowledge the message. I don't have to be reminded another 30 times. Please change it so the message is shown only once while the form page is being viewed (probably a single hidden field serving as a variable would do). No właśnie nie. Problem jest taki, że mam większe wymagania wobec technologii niż przeciętny user. Dokopałem się do możliwości dodawania zdjęć z kompa przez tryb deweloperski w chrome ale nie chce mi się tego robić dla fotek, które potem będą wyglądały jak te na fejsie (mała fota w pop upie dodatkowo pomniejszona o panel komentarzy). Z tym czytaniem listingów to pewnie zależy. Bez bicia się przyznaję, że większości nie czytam, zwłaszcza jeżeli w obcym mieście mam 1-2 dni na keszowanie a listing objętością treści przeklejonej z Wikipedii mógłby z powodzeniem zapchać dyskietkę. (stąd mój listing tutaj: https://coord.info/GC781PK ) Czasami do przeczytania listingu skłoni tytuł, czasami typ (w zagadce, czy multaku rzadko da się nie przeczytać listingu ). Czasami listing przeczyta ktoś z ekipy, kiedy zbliżamy się do kesza. Różnie z tym bywa. Generalnie listing (w objętości uznanej za słuszną przez Autora) powinien być dopracowany jak reszta kesza. Natomiast nie wyobrażam sobie, żeby recenzent miał się z każdym pałować o ortografię i przecinki. Zwłaszcza w czasach, gdzie całość można najpierw wkleić do Worda i poza przypadkami pecha wynikającymi z podobnych słów mieć całkiem dobrze zredagowany tekst. Jak się komuś tego nie chce to my jako reszta społeczności powinniśmy to w logach uświadomić Autorowi. Może po którymś logu z kolei się nauczy.

Założyłem w ten weekend profil na instagramie bo byłem o to nieraz proszony przez osoby, którym pokazywałem zdjęcia z wypadów. Spróbowałem dodać kilka zdjęć, zajrzałem tam na kompie, bo dodawanie starszych fotek z telefonu jest upierdliwe i... skasowałem konto. Zakładałem T5 w Czechach. Reviewer miał na swoim profilu informacje o betatestach ale ich ode mnie nie wymagał. To chyba raczej best practice niż wymóg.

As in the topic. The dashboard contains an "Nearby events" calendar which has Sunday fixed as the first day of the week. Some countries use Monday as the frist one which means whenever I look at a calendar I expect a week to have a Sunday at the end of the row. It would be nice to have a setting where one could change that. The widget already has a settings screen where you choose a radius of the events so this one could be fitted there as well.

Nie ma. Jeżeli skrytek nie ma to zgłoś needs archive i czekaj aż pójdą do piachy. Wtedy możesz tam założyć swoje (nowe). Jeżeli są to nic nie zrobisz. Tylko właściciel może przekazać kesza do adopcji.
