  1. I get irked at cachers who complain that the game has become all about the numbers, but then disses a newbie because they only have a few finds.
  2. I've been thinking about making handmade swag. In particular, I want to make suncatchers from melted ponybeads or cracked marble charms. One of my favorite swag items I swapped for was a pair of small, wooden handpainted cacti. I love those things!
  3. I would love antique buttons! Especially with a story What about handmade marble magnets? Like These (Before you say ZOMBIE THREAD!!!!@2#! The swag game was closed/moved. I followed it here!)
  4. I'm a newb (43 finds as of today), and I came over from AtlasQuest when I found a hybrid letterbox. Right now I'm using the full app and I feel like it is serving it's purpose, but I'm mostly urban caching so far. I can see how the intro app is hurting the sport; heck, I was leaving "That's another one for me..." logs too until I learned better. I think the most important thing for newbs to do is research. Play around on the site, chat with people, lurk in the discussion board...all of these help you become a better cacher. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get the intro app users to join in the culture of geocaching beyond finding caches. I know the intro app limits the number you can find per day, but maybe it needs to limit to a total number, for example, you can only find 5 and then you need to upgrade.
  5. I only have a few finds, but the last few had melted candy and a pack of crackers in it. This is wrong...right? I don't want to step on any toes. Is it ok to remove these from other caches I find?
