What's the general age of people who geocache?

I'm 65. Now if I could only find a way to combine Geocaching with golf, life would be perfect. -
I'm not clear on what coordinates are to be entered here. Am I to log the coordinates where my GPS shows the hiding place to be? I'd be reluctant to log the coordinates where I live. I have not seen these coordinates appear in any log entries.
