  1. Thanks I just downloaded the vista compatable with palm I hope this might help my problem. . I also downloaded cachemate. I have spinner and plucker but when I bring up plucker it gives me a error. So I will try these out see what I can do. I am taking it that cachemate and sunrise is a replacement for plucker?
  2. I got a new laptop and tried to get plucker to go on so I can put the caches in my palm and plucker won't work. Is it not compatible with Vista? Is there something I need to download to make it work? Or another program I have always used plucker so I am a little confused on what I should do. But I went out caching with out my palm and it was irritating not having it. Can anyone please help. Thanks. Tigereyes & Gang
  3. I am leaning toward the Palm M100 how much is shipping and how do you take payment?
  4. Check on Ebay. I got my Palm IIIxe shipped to me for $29.00 with a hard cover, soft cover, hot sync cradle and system disk. It was in great condition. Check them out you can find good deals if you bid carefully. Thanks I have been on Ebay I have been getting out bid. Most of them have been going for a bit of a price so I have backed out as well. I have some I am watching but thought Hey why not look on here. Maybe help a fellow Geocacher out with some money. "g". Might have better luck on here. We will see. Thanks for the info.
  5. Do you have any left. I am new to geo and my sister has a Palm IIIxe and it seems pretty easy to use. I was looking for one that would work for Geo but did not know of any others. Are these easy to use ? I have been up on Ebay but keep getting out bid so my mind finally brought me to the forum to look. Gee why not think this sooner. LOL. Please you can contact me at goingsc@comcast.net Thanks Cary (tigereyes & Gang)
  6. I am looking for a PDA I am new to Geocaching and I have been printing out what I need my sister has a Palm IIIxe and I like hers. But I do not want to spend a arm and a leg. Anyone have any for sale or any suggestions on any other ones that would be easy to use as well. you can also contact me at goingsc@comcast.net Thanks!
  7. Don't even bother with the 300. There is no PC connectivity, which means no uploading of detail maps and hence no autorouting. The electronic compass and other sensors aren't worth the money. They're just gimmickry and you'd be better served by the 500. When using maps, color isn't quite a must, but almost. I have a 400 with DirectRoute v2, and the maps are usable but would be much nicer in color. If you are on a budget, consider the 210. However, it has a monochrome display and you cannot add an SD card for more memory. If you purchase a 500LE, I strongly recommend purchasing the lithium ion battery pack. You can try to get it through Magellan or you can use the Motorola t720 extended life cell phone battery. The 500LE does not run long with AAA batteries and the included clip. Remove the clip and use the Li-ion pack. Only the 210, 400, 500, 500LE, 600, and XL have PC connectivity. All of those units take an SD card except for the 210, which has a fixed 22MB of memory. Thank you for the Info surly helps. I am new to this Geocaching so need lots of options and help.
  8. On my magellan there is no software or hardware I just have a 100 and you do everything by hand no downloading or anything . But I do see that like the 300 and 400 seem to be nicer and have auto maping as well I think. I would love to get one with the nice features.
  9. I would not mind finding some as well. Thanks.
  10. I am looking for a GPS .I want a good, inexpensive GPS with auto routing capibilities. You currently use a Magellan 100 and like it, but I want more and the one I am using is really my son's so I want my own. Can any one give me any ideas. I have been looking at the Magellan 400 or 300. Thanks Tigereyes & Gang.
