I have used mine on a plane at the airport and have never had any problems. With radio on or off!

Oh, I suppose you could put them on an aerial map; I think I read how to do that somewhere, MARKWELL anyone?

The 2 mile range is on FRS. Supposedlt 5 mile on GMRS, but you can't send locations to each other over GMRS. As far as mapping, I use the track log to overlay primitive roads @ our camp onto the topo maps. Also waypoints of treestands and such--neat to see them all on a map!!

Thanks Geckogeek, I was looking around at some local pawn shops for a good deal and saw the IIIxe. Doesn't seem too bad for $45! Whatever I get, it has to plug in to puter via USB, as I have only one serial port and it is dedicated to my GPS! I will look some more; I have never used a PDA so I am unsure of what I'm looking for. I won't use it for anything other than caching, so I don't need the top of the line!

Bubba, Try clearing the cookies in your browser and deleting the "favorite" link. Type in the addy in the browser and see if that takes you there.

Maybe the original owner is in the military and is now overseas? Others have replied with appropriate answers, but you asked "what would you do". I would replace the cache and go about my business with a note in the logbook stating what I had done.

Paws Down is a cache that is dog friendly. I enjoyed it while I was in St. Charles for a meeting earlier this year.

Not sure if this is a bug or what, but on an AL. state search, I show an event cache for CA., second from the top. I am about to buy a Kodak dx6340. It's in the price range I want to spend. I would LIKE to have a Kodak dx6440 and would LOVE to have a Kodak dx6490, but it is too pricey and too much camera for my uses.

Here's a place my Dad used to frequent when he worked in downtown Birmingham. Now I go there pretty regular: Pete's Famous Hot Dogs N33 30.921 W086 48.394 (Waypoint marked as driving by) Best hot dogs in Alabama. Try and order a hamburger during lunch rush and see what happens! (the owner sometimes can be gruff)LOL People used to call him the "Hotdog Nazi"!!! -

The question remains, and since I cannot post to the "Locked" thread: Did the cache page owner request that the notes be deleted? Why not delete them himself? Is G.C.Com now moderating cache page logs? -
