  3. After reading this thread I took a look at my cache pages too. I don't use HTML in my descriptions pages. All formating is gone and the pages look like dung. What the heck is going on? I sure hope this is temporary. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

  8. quote:Originally posted by xafwodahs:In response to Team GPSaxophone's post: "How likely are others to see the ruined bridge while hunting any of the other 3 caches? It looks like Middlefork is close enough already." The bridge is completely shrouded in trees. You could be 100 feet away from it and not know it's there. Looks just like any other dense patch of trees (check the aerial photo I posted). That's one of the amazing things about this site - the old picture I posted shows the bridge with absolutely NO trees around, but now it's covered by them. It's amazing how the terrain can change. I did Middlefork several weeks ago. Had I approached the cache the way most people would - using the trails in the Savannah, I would never have seen the bridge ruins. It is only because I came from the wrong direction and had to walk along the railroad tracks (and hop a fence which I wasn't too happy about) that I happened to glimpse the bridge. But even from there, I almost missed it. It is very unlikely that any of the other caches in the area would alert people to the presence of the bridge. I did all those caches in the Savannah. I didn't see this bridge though. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
  9. If this cache is not being approved because of the proximity of another cache, try contacting the other cache owner and see if they would work with you so you can get yours approved. I was just in this area last weekend and there is a lot of space there. See if the other geocacher is willing to move one of their caches a few hundred yards. This looks like a neat cache and I would like do it. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

  17. ODE TO AN OOSIK Strange things have been done in the Midnight Sun, and the story books are full--- But the strangest tale concerns the male, magnificent walrus bull! I know it's rude, quite common and crude, Perhaps it is grossly unkind; But with first glance at least, this bewhiskered beast, is as ugly in front as behind. Look once again, take a second look -- then you'll see he's not ugly or vile -- There's a hint of a grin, in that blubbery chin -- and the eyes have a shy secret smile. How can this be, this clandestine glee that exudes from the walrus like music? He knows, there inside, beneath blubber and hide lies a splendid contrivance -- the Oosik! "Oosik" you say -- and quite well you may, I'll explain if you keep it between us; In the simplest truth, though rather uncouth "Oosik" is, in fact, his penis! Now the size alone of this walrus bone, would indeed arouse envious thinking -- It is also a fact, documented and backed, There is never a softening or shrinking! This, then, is why the smile is so sly, the walrus is rightfully proud. Though the climate is frigid, the walrus is rigid, Pray, why, is not man so endowed? Added to this, is a smile you might miss --- Though the bull is entitled to bow -- The one to out-smile our bull by a mile is the satisfied walrus cow! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
  18. quote:Originally posted by Monkeybrad:I started caching on April 1st, 2003 and have 804 finds, so far. So that works out to 4.46 caches per day. Dude...you are an animal! Cache on. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
  19. I would like to see some made up with a small logo off center on the front, without wording, and a big logo on the back with "you are the search engine" wording. Basically a combination of the two you're showing here. Good job! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
  20. Here is my map zoomed out to the max. You can see the caches found from a trip to Indiana a few weeks ago. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
  21. Definitely a nice improvement. Thanks Jeremy. Would it be possible to add a 75 mile zoom range too? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
