I hear you Criminal. I have the same problems with my caches. Had two plundered this week. I always make sure I put caches back in the same place I find them. If I feel they are too exposed I make sure they are protected from muggles. How hard can this be? Geez!

It sure is frustrating. I think Jeremy is working on a hardware upgrade. Hope this comes soon.

I noticed the same thing. Had a log on one of my cache pages today, but, never received the email.

Did you try the LOCK ON ROAD setting in the map setup page?

Had time to look it up today. I must apologize, I had the price _WRONG._ You will not save $23.00. You will only save $22.55. Sorry for the mistake.
I bought my cables http://shopnow123.safeshopper.com/2/286.htm?878
Hope this helps.....

Look at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=7b185d3e-e8bc-401b-b97b-4f77debfb822 and click on nearby caches to see what can happen....
I noticed the vast majority of these are virtuals.
Personally I don't mind close proximity of caches. I'd rather be hunting caches then putting miles on the car and wasting gas. I like when I can drive to an area and spend the day hunting caches without moving the car.

Thanks DW, I just ordered one.

Jeremy,
Keep up the good work. It's getting better all the time.
I'm glad you got rid of the red.

Jeremy,
It would be nice if I could hide caches that I never plan on hunting.

NiMH will be almost useless after only a couple of weeks.
Very true. NiMH do not have a very long shelf life. What I do is keep the batteries in the charger so they are always topped off. You can do this with a good charger.
I also carry a set of alkalines in the car just in case I need them. Haven't needed to use them yet.

A good charger is important for battery longevity. The cheap chargers will either overheat or overcharge the batteries and greatly shorten their life.

I've had at least one, maybe two in one day. I don't really keep track of FTF as I only use GC for my track record.
I my caching area there is a team called Geogil & Dairy. Their specialty is to get to the cache first. If I remember correctly, they have close to 200 of these. The only way to beat them to the cache is if they oversleep or Geogil can't reach it.

Excellent!!! I just ordered one with a set of extra batteries (and the free screwdrvier set to boot). Just what I was looking for.
Especially love that it comes with the auto adapter.
Many thanks for the advice. Knew I came to the right place.

Jolly,
This was a good choice. A couple of years ago I purchased the MH-C204F Charger combo for Thomas Distribution. I've been very happy with it. I'm still using the same batteries. I use two sets for my digital camera and two sets for the GPSr. I beleive they are located in Aurora IL, you should receive your items quickly.
Just so you know, it may take a couple of charge and discharge cycles for the batteries to work at their optimum. If you haven't already, check out the FAQ page on the web site.

I was thinking about using a laptop with my eTrex Lengend. The laptop dosen't have a DB9 port. What driver would you use with the USB adapter? Does the adapter come with a driver?

WoW...I didn't know Illinois had the highest cases of West Nile virus deaths. I'm glad I picked up some 100% DEET today. Seems like any possible reactions from DEET are better than the alternative.

I use the eTrex Legend on my bike. I bought the Garmin mount at REI for $15.00. Nice compact setup. Works well for me. Amazon has the eTrex Legend for 139.00 with shipping after $50 rebate. Best bang for the buck I believe.

Oblong,
I saw the I'M LOSING MY MARBLES T.B. in the DryDock Cache.(GC9F0B) This sounds like the one your looking for. It was a bag of marbles with a log book. I thought I was strange because it didn't have the T.B. tags attached to it.

This may be a little off subject here. Not sure if this would be concidered coolest or most unusual. I saw a roll of toilet paper in a cache once. I guess that would be better than using a poison ivy leaf.
