Congratulations Cincol and Carbon Hunter on the Platinum EC masters achievements….we waited a looooong time for the “Masters” to complete this BIG milestone.

Andy and Lindy we are very close and shared lots of good times (And will still do in the future). We know how hard you have worked even when the we relax around the camp fires you are sitting there with your laptop open and handling all our mails and reviewing caches that gives you more gray hair. Thinking back you have done more for Geocaching in SA than all of us combined; like dividing SA into provinces and the KNP issues. All the best for the future and hopefully you and Lindy will get more sleep at night now.

All sorted now….no DNF this time. Just a note to future finders on this EC: don’t think the Talc looks like the listing picture….just trust your instinct and you will find the correct rocks (Talc).

We had a relook at a sample we collected on site and it compares with photos of the Barberton Talc rocks….will send photos to the EC owner to verify. Maybe our DNF can be changed…

No…the waypoint is next to the highway on a road cutting as the listing describes…but we found only white Orthoquartzite rocks, which is very hard. So I think the waypoint is correct but just unable to find the soft Talc…

We experienced our first DNF on a Earth Cache this weekend . This must be the first genuine DNF on a EC. Please see GC247XK

Can we have some different stats please? Who (Team) has the most DNF’s (maybe the top ten)?

How can you make this statement if you have never met or chatted to them?....When I contacted the Tshwane counsel, they were more than willing to help me and we build a VERY good relationship with the Tshwane counsel members and have permission for the existing normal caches in the Pretoria region.

I see we are moving closer to the 100th EarthCache in South Africa….another two added yesterday. Mmmm we will do some of those KZN EC’s next week

RedGlobe have not entered in any TB race and will try this one as the rules are very simple. We will see you at the event.

Hi malo mystery Your idée is not new….the ones I can recall quickly is the Tonteldoos series and the Reporters riddle of Global Rat. The main problem with a series to get to the final is if one cache gets muggled, the cachers will have no way of getting to the final.
