Hi Sonsoeker We normally visit KZN for the Christmas yearly event, so this idée is not new. You can start your arrangements and bookings now but can only list the event 3 months in advance. We will gladly help you on your first event.

Hi All, I received the prizes for the camping weekend: We do get a 15% discount for this weekend. Normally the cost is R115.00 per night for a stand. This means that we will need to pay R100.00 per night for the stand. If we book more than 30 camping sites for this weekend, we will get a discount of 30%. I will provide the info where to make the bookings as soon as we sorted all arrangements.

We have arranged with Tshwane Nature Council to use the Joos Becker Caravan Park for the weekend of the 22-24 October 2010 (Geocaching saamtrek) and will post all the prizes and info as soon as it is finalized. We hope to receive cachers from other regions camping for the weekend. We will try and host a Braai event on the Friday evening in the caravan park and we are in the process of listing a CITO event on the Saturday morning 23 October 2010 which will utilize parking and Braai facilities of the Joos Becker Caravan Park in Pretoria. We will list the CITO now (3 months in advance) to provide enough time for cachers to plan and make all there arrangements for either the CITO or the weekend camping. We will inform you, once we receive more information on this forum....

I am planning a Braai event at the Groenkloof Nature Reserve for the 28 August 2010 and have completed all arrangements with Tshwane Counsel for the Lapa and facilities. Hopefully we can complete the listing this weekend. Secondly we have started arrangements for a CITO event (23 October 2010) at the Joost Bekker Reserve cleaning the river banks in that area. This will provide a opportunity for campers from other areas to camp for the weekend (arranging low prices) to camp and enjoy the area over the weekend. The CITO will only be for the Saturday morning and again a braai at the Lapa afterwards. This CITO will again be helped by the Tshwane Council.

WOW the EarthCaches received a boost again from IPajero. The Eastern Cape is now sitting on 18 EC’s and I still remember a time on one of our trips with the Eastern Cape without any EC’s. South Africa’s total now on 124.

Mmm I am just wondering if it is the real “lock and lock” containers? I have seen some other containers looking like a “lock and lock” with the handles and all…but they do not last like the real ones…(If it does not say “Lock and Lock”…it is not a “lock and Lock”)

The street view do cover the countryside….if you turn the view left or right you can even zoom in on objects. All those cameras have a 360 view.

With the one Tonteldoos cache GC1CK1J “Tonteldoos XVII / Savannah” being archived we need to discuss the way forward with a few options from my side: 1. We update the rest of the series to have only 17 Tonteldoos caches and not 18 as stated in the listings. (This needs a modification on the final cache calculations). 2. We get a new Tonteldoos cache that will replace the old archived cache. 3. The old cache needs to be re-done to cater for the changes on site with the farm owner move. Just my two cents….please comment and provide idees…
