  1. I have the 72 & love it. The price was right (Christmas gift :-P) I would love to have the color, but hey, I would love to have a H2 Hummer too! I use the gps in my car now & plan to use it for marine at the shore this summer. The unit came with the MapSource Points of Interest which allows 1mb of data (capacity of unit) to store to unit. I would love to see Garmin come out with an upgrade to more memory, but I don't really expect that. What I may do one of these days once I out grow this unit is to buy on with more memory. As I was starting out in the gps mania, I'm glad my Dad bought me this one. HTH! John
  2. I posted my first finding pics & will continue as long as I Geochache, however, I will not post every cache. When I see something scenic to add value to my log & show others the nature of the location, I'll find something to take a pic of! BTW, I order a new digital camera & hopefully will break it in on my next hunt! John
  3. This information comes directly from my owners manual for the GPS72: The satellite strength indicator bars show the strength of the signal being received, and the status of the signal. The bars will be either shaded with a light grey, or filled with solid black. If the bar is grey, it means that the gps is receiving a signal from the satellite and is in the process of storing orbital data. When the bar turns a solid black, the satellite signal is being used for navigation. If a "D" is in or above the bar, differential corrections are being applied to that satellite signal. HTH
