  1. Wow, it looks like it has been almost a year since anyone posted on this topic. I am a staff writer for an online four wheeling and off road magazine Rockcrawler.com We have been trying to figure out good ways to mix the explorative hobby of four wheeling with geocaching. There are some great historic and scenic areas that you can only get to by four wheel drive. These would make great locations for caches. We have opened up a section of our bulliten boards to geocaching. I am looking for good ideas on how to blend the two. If you have any ideas, please share them with me. Cole Ford Rockcrawler.com
  2. We have been working on the Geocaching/ four wheeling thing for awhle now too. We opened up a Geocaching section on the boards of Rockcrawler.com. I have been searching for good ways to incorporate the two for a long time. One of the guys that visits our boards also visits the L.O.S.T boards and led me here. Small world somedays I would love to hear some of the ideas floating around out there. Cole Ford Staff Writer Rockcrawler.com
  3. I did my 2nd cache search today. It was 5 micro caches and then the big find. One of the micro caches was in an old cemetary here in Colorado. Some of the headstones were from the 1800s. I thought this was really neat. It was back in the mountains of Colorado. Neat piece of history. Just be carefull to respect the property and those that reside there. Cole Ford
  4. I may not be able to find the cache but I can get to where ever it is! ) Cole Ford
  5. I am new here. I actually did my first cache today. I am an avid four wheeler. I actually write for an online four wheel drive e-zine "Rockcrawler.com". I got into four wheeling for the same reason I am getting interested in Geocaching, exploration. There are many old mining towns and historic sites here in Colorado that you can only get to with a well equiped four wheel drive. We have been exploring ideas on how to incorporate four wheeling and geocaching into the e-zine. I am not in favor of drive up caches, but am interested in ones that are maybe further out of the way and may take a bit of a challenge to find. They should of course follow trails and roads and not lead anyone to hurt the environment to find them. I would welcome any thoughts and ideas you may have. Feel free to email me, I am not sure how often I will check these boards until I get into the sport more. Cole Ford
