  1. I got three. Also checked 10 minutes later and coins were still available. I thought they would go real fast!
  2. On the list and sent Email. Glad this was not a mad dash where time was critical--the new auction site was like going through a minefield!!!
  3. I have a Gold LE Made in China geocoin. Looking to trade for a std silver Made in China geocoin.
  4. Lets see what happens. I just sent Vargseld a 4 for 1 offer. I did make what I thought ws a fair 1 for 1 plus cash offer but it was turned down. I thought that was reasonable way to go since the coin I wanted was an Alaska silver coin that cost $20 new (4 x cost of coins at the time).

    Earth Coin

I also sent email to Outdoorlady to join the group
  6. I have one I jst got and it is a great coin. They are only available by trade and I only learned of the coin from doing another trade with Jummpin Jeeper
  7. I bought three to keeping the shipping per coin down. Would like to trade one for the second series of the Lighthouse coin that I missed. Also looking for GOWT gold
  8. Look closely when you fold over the sealing flap of a bubble package. At the edge there is only the paper for strength--there is no bubble wrap there. I think thats where the coin can cut through. Now I place a strip of 2 inch tape around this edge of the envelope. I have been using old cerial boxes, old post office cardboard envelopes to make a sandwich with the coins and some cheap padding (toilet paper). Cardboard is taped all around, but before the coins are added the sharp corners of the cardboard are cut off. However, when I did the shipping for all 1200 of the Delaware coins they were just placed inside bubble packs. Way too much work to do it the best way. There were three incidents of slit envelopes and missing coins. That was about a 1% loss. If I did it again, I think just tape around the sealing end would be reasonable method, and maybe putting the coins into inner paper envelope. speed is inportant if you have to do 300 shipments
  9. A little bit delayed but they came up and I bought mine. Search for TFTC geocoin
  10. Just got extra Conn. bronze, silver, and gold coins. Looking for Ontario LE (Silver and Gold), Kansas LE, and Tenn Gold
  11. What did I do wrong. I saw the hour glass, refreshed the sceeen and the coin was gone. How do you actually order the coin
  12. My coins arrived yesterday, nice and save. Now to find the old emails for trades that are over 3 months old!! One caution. I had to look very close to find the Silver Limited edition coin since it looks very similar to the standard coin. Once you spot it you can see the silver plate and how much nicer it looks. I also looked at what these coins cost---what a bargain compared to the typical current cost!
  13. Would you want this coin if there were 2,000 made, cheap and readily available. Would you want this coin if there was only 120 and no one else had any. The two problems with the Delugly 1. It was different but not ugly (a good coin gone to the dark side?) 2. Apparent demand far outpaced available supply Expected life as a coin in caches, near zero
  14. I missed the coins. Does anyone want to trade a coin for the first lighthouse series coin.
  15. There is about 6 coins in your list I would like to get. No way I could swing bidding and buying all your coins. Or if I somehow did it, most of them would have to co to ebay to pay for what the bid would cost. If the coins sold individually are worth much more than the whole package, I am afraid you will get less value. Last thing I would want is someone buys your collection and goes to Ebay and makes twice what he paid. Is there a way to split up the collection into smaller (read less costly) pieces that more people could get. And they would be more likely to keep all or most of the coins. I'm sorry to see you have to take this action. You were one of the first people I ever traded with and to this day I still think the Kilted Cacher trackable personal coin is one of the best coins out there.
  16. This one looks extremely creative with a look unlike any other geocoin. Outstanding job
  17. And when you can look at Night Hawk's picture of his coin shelf and name the coins right off even though you can't read anything on the coin. I guess I'm ok and not addicted--I can only recognize about 2/3 of them!!! How about when you make bulk purchases of padded envelopes because a 10 pack doesnt last very long.
  18. The activation code for Delaware coins is on the coin. If its missing send me an email and I can provide the access code. It took more work to do it this way bur 2Dolphins and myself felt it was better this way.
  19. I just got the JeeperMTJ working on it personal trackable coins that are available. I missed the Cat coin in black nickel trade anyone Also looking gor a GOWT gold and Ontario LE
  20. This is a great thread and I really like what everyone is doing. Thanks to the financial support of may cachers who bought the Delaware limited edition coin, there are now over 70 activated Delaware geocoins placed (or being placed) in every state and 9 foreign countries with the help of local cachers. Watch for a Delaware geocoin in your state. To find the status of all these coins, pull up the stats page for "Delaware Geocaching" and look under the Delaware icon. Technically I did not actually physically place coins in a cache (Except for one coin for Delaware), so only count this a a single entry. Many thanks to Lemon Fresh Dog for starting this.
  21. I'm not taking sides. Also I am very thankful of ou8alizzard for the great job he did placing the activated Delaware geocoin into a cache in Nevada. Nothing negative is even implied toward him. But look at the facts. I checked my spread sheet of coins I ordered that had the order date. Some of the delivery dates I didnt write down so maybe some are off by a week. Total time from paying to coin in hand Iowa 2 weeks NC, UK, GOWT, Ga 5 weeks Delaware 6 weeks Wisc 7 weeks Holiday coin, Maine 8 weeks NY 12 weeks Alabama 12 weeks and counting For the Delaware coin orders were only taken after we had GC.com bless the design and tracking numbers paid for and were ready to have the coin made. I thing most coin producers did the same. Say 5-7 weeks is the norm. Both NY and Alabama ran into problems so they may not be typical. I ordered the Nevada coin 11/8 and dont remember the details, but seem to recall that the coin would not be ready for 3 months (my memory--could be wrong) which seemed like a long time. Didnt stop me from ordering it though. Lets get out all the facts before we rag on Paypal. Maybe they thought they were protecting the buyers.
  22. Please put me down for one coin and one pin
