Thank you all for the feedback. This was kind of a rush-rush thing and I totally understand and respect the guidelines and have re-read them to be fresh on the topics. I did NOT even try to list this cache, only asked the question in advance of enetring the information. I will at this point be moving my cache to a more suitable distance from the others. How close can a new geocache be to an existing geocache? We hiked way out into the woods, found the perfect spot, only to come home and find someone already placed a cache within 200 feet. I seem to recall reading the close proximity may be a problem and the site monitors will not post our new cache. Anyone have suggestions to prevent a duplicate trip way back out into the wilderness? It's not somewhere we can access very easily. Perhaps we can ask somone closer to "adopt" it and mamke a move, but how do we locate someone in the area? Live and learn...LOL
