  1. Go over to the message boards on www.paddling.net. Many people on it paddle there.
  2. I am curious to know why the change in appearance has occured while viewing the homepage while using AOL. It has the usual four square logo, the large picture and the small picture. The next block is gone and placed under the large picture and a large white space is left. When I go directly from IE, it appears normal. Is there a way I can fix that or is that just a problem using AOL? Thanks.
  3. I submitted one on Jan 12 and have not heard anything yet. I hope it will not be much longer.
  4. I recently put an earthcache in for review but saw today where I was supposed to place the answer to the logging question in the reviewer note. I attempted twice to do this a few minutes ago and it indicated that it accepted the change but did not actually change it on the listing. Has anyone else had this to happen? Edit: I tried to edit the original note and it let me. It still is not letting me write a new reviewer note.
  5. I know it has been said before but I am saying it again. If you do not find a cache after looking for it, log it as a DNF. It really helps the owner to determine when a cache might be missing as one of mine has been recently. I know there are probably caches that missing every day but when it is one of yours, it is really aggrivating. I most likely saw the person(s) who took it on my hike last week checking on my others nearby and have left a mesasage for the staff to see if it has been turned in. It is a very small office with few staff and I have a feeling that three guys will be questioned shortly.

  7. I have a set of the 16 oz I purchased from Walmart that I have not used yet. They have twist on lids with a one half inch lip that goes inside the jar when closed. I would suspect that this container would be waterproof. Since they are specically made for the freezer, I would think that you would not have any problem with them in freezing outdoor conditions..
  8. I had one up in a tree at one of my caches. Out of about 600 pictures, I got three of the cachers. The rest were pictures of the area because the movement of the tree leaves was setting it off. Lesson learned- I will place it much better next time. I did hide it well and had a cable and lock on it so if someone was going to take it, they would have to work at it.
  9. Somewhere on this site is a calculator for the distance between caches using latitudes and longitudes. Can someone please tell me where it is? Thanks
  10. Thanks for your help. I think I will wait for it to be published.
  11. I have a cache waiting to be reviewed. How do I document placing travel bugs in it before it is published or do I need to wait for it to be published?
  12. I am about to place a multicache and was looking at the guidelines and information on doing so. One place says to put the coordinates for the stages (after stage one) in the "additional waypoints section." I have not seen that anywhere on the form. Can someone please direct me to the right spot? Thanks
  13. Here is another site that will calculate the distance between coordinates: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gccalc.shtml?
  14. I am curious to know what glues are being used to make pinecone caches. I would like to make one but do not know what type of glue to use so it would remain weatherproof.
  15. There are actually two of the listed in some endnotes in a book about Texas history. The book has a copywrite of 2000. It reads ," The Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates are as follows: 41TL57 41TL58 I just have no clue as what format this is or how to convert it to degrees, minutes and seconds. Barbara
  16. I ran across this GPS format in a book written in 2000 but do not recognize the format. I did several searches to find a converter but was not successful. The coordinates are as follows: 41TL57. Does anyone know how to convert this to degrees, minutes, seconds? Thanks.
  17. Redbox Codes are the way to get free DVD rentals from Redbox. Redbox and their partners create these codes to get more people into their stores and use their services. You simply need to enter the coupon code from the main screen or just before checkout at your local Redbox kiosk. When you do, you will receive a one-day free rental. Any additional days you keep the movie will be charged at the usual $1/day.
