  1. Can I bring my GPS unit with me to England through Heathrow airport (both coming and going) without fear of it being taken from my carryon? I am not asking about using it in flight. Also - will it work in London if I do not have the maps? I just want to use it to find a few caches while there on a short business trip so it is not cost effective for me to buy the maps.
  2. Thank you - I appreciate your help and patience. I am not too impressed with the Garmin webpage - as I see others have mentioned this too. Now to figure out the difference between City Select and City Navigator. Any clue?
  3. Thanks - but - I saw that and took note of the "*" which stated that represented a limitation to this unit. So - back to my question...can this unit handle those software upgrades? When I did go to those pull down pages - some of them stated that certain units cannot handle an upgrade.
  4. Thanks - I thought it was me! The Garmin website is a little confusing as to the compatibility of the mapping software. They are probably swamped with everyone who received a GPS for Christmas right now.
  5. Thanks - trying to find out if I can add maps to my Garmin GPSmap 60...
  6. Do you have a Garmin GPSmap 60 unit? If you do, I would like to know if you purchased any software to update your maps...
  7. I know this is not the bells and whistles with the color maps. I am brand new and wanted an affordable unit to start. After only having forums to research this and finding that each user has their own opinions - can anyone help me with this please...? Does the Garmin GPSmap 60 have the capability to add street maps? Is it worth the price to buy software it at this stage? (Right now I am using google maps to get me to the general area) If yes to buying software (if this unit can take it) which is recommended? Thanks - tried contacting Garmin direct but I cannot get through by phone or email. Brian
