  1. oops... just read the link you provided... Jeremy should get back to you on it. I've heard that other people made that mistake and it was fixed so hang tight and give it a little longer.
  2. After doing the paypal you did not receive an email confirming? In the confirmation email should be a code... you need to go to the subscription page then and plug that number into the box provided and your membership will be activated.
  3. Here's an ammo can with the official label...but not painted over. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cachelog_details.asp?ID=11134&L=121707
  4. mac, Gilbert is in Jersey somewhere right now, with Philc. He's mentioned that he was going to release him again soon so keep your eyes open. Ttepee

  7. Ohhh boy that sucks! I've worried before the way that I leave my purse behind when I cache..I guess I'll worry more now. When I first started caching I'd convert to my fanny pack for the journey but nowadays I usually have my caching pack loaded and leave the purse behind in the car... should go back to old methods I guess. But man... getting ready to get out the door to go caching can be as cumbersome as packing a diaper bag for a 9 month old to spend a couple hours at the mall. Truly sorry for your experience... thanks for sharing it with us so we can think twice before it's us. As the wise Kitchen Magnet Fairy says "Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want

  9. It was funny reading these posts... I just posted this in a log this past week.... "As I'm poking around I hear someone coming down the path....when they turned the corner I could see the geocaching sheet and gps in hand. Phew... It's so hard to explain to someone what your doing when your down to the final hunt."... Don't ya just feel like the biggest goofball going trying to explain? I'm usually given half a chance just long enough for them to take off running when they hear the obsession in my explanation...heheh nah honestly no one's ever really slowed down long enough to ask...I usually just get these wierd kinda looks..smile back and they see it coming and run.... though I'd love to share with them :
  10. quote:Originally posted by Zuckerruebensirup: Plus, after leaving the bug at a public bus stop, they've logged it into a cache...which'll be sure to confuse some unsuspecting cacher who goes there to look for him, and will undoubtedly go away empty handed. Don't worry about that the cache has not been successfully found since July... 3 unsuccessful hunts since then.
  11. Doesn't sound innocent to me...more like irresponsible. Did you read the cache page? They didn't even leave it in a cache.. they left it on a bench at a bus station..they heard about the cache afterwards and posted it to give the bug some sort of coordinates. I geuss if it ever showed up again you could have yourself a great adventure there but how likely is it? That stinks... but it's better at least having some kind of story then just vanishing. Good Luck!
  12. Kind of embarassing actually. In typical newbie style we took the 3 Where's George bills, I happened to have 3 kids with me at the time and it seemed perfect to keep them all happy....and of course we never logged these bills. In exchange we left a handful of rubber witch type fingertips and some other little Mc-type-toys. It took us 5-10 finds to bring up the quality of our stashables but we've been trying to make up for those since then.

  14. ok giving it a try..... how come the subject line doesn't auto fill in when responding to a topic... hmmm this looks more like a new topic but it seems to be a reply... I'll just leave it blank and see what happens. I'm one of those people that it takes awhile to get used to things....I'm sure all the new stuff is a good thing... just have to get used to it.
