  1. MY trip to Colorado is October 17 - 20 , 2004. What are the 'cool' caches to see in the Boulder, Longmont, Denver airport areas?
  2. How about caches in the following locations? Route 66: Laughlin, NV to Williams, AZ Grand Canyon, South Rim Lee's Ferry We will be visiting in early November... with long roads and short daylight hours, we will only have time to hunt a couple caches a day. What are the exceptional caches in this part of Northern Arizona?
  3. I think it's great to get the Jeep connection. I hope this supports our habit by pumping lotsa money into servers and such
  4. Use the 35 mm and order pix on CDROM until you can afford a replacement.... check eBay.
  5. Armando & Co, thanks so much for the Bug Hotel reccomendation. Please go to the cache page to see my interesting experience. The Princess Hugabug TB was dropped off for someone to move a little bit further to Vancouver. I didn't know if my schedule would allow me to get there. THIS CACHE WAS PERFECT for my needs. THANK YOU!
  6. I'd like to get to some caches in the Portland area while visiting April 7 - 11, 2003. Any suggested caches? Probably will have to be evening/night runs. I'm am also trying to obtain and deliver a travel bug with a destination of Vancouver, WA. I'm not familiar with the area...
  7. What caches might be reccomended (easy!) for a visitor to the Portland, Beaverton area? I might not bring my GPS (airline security, etc.), but will have computer access. I'd like to bring in a travel bug if I can find a full size cache, not too hard to find (might have to do it at night). (Oops, this should be in the NorthWest forum, not the West) [This message was edited by DR Doolittle, the Mrs. & Zoo on April 06, 2003 at 10:56 AM.]
  8. While scouting locations for cache placement today, we ran into your friendly neighborhood vigilantes... The Neighborhood Watch was in full-tilt as we sat in our vehicle make notes about possible cache placements... One guy came out of his garage demanding to know what we were doing, and then took down our vehicle license number! Then he called his neighbor (apparently releated) down the block, who came out, watched us, then used his bicycle to follow us as we left! He blocked us as we tried to retreat from a dead-end street and demanded to know what were doing, and said he would not allow us to take photos of the neighborhood. very scarey. Back to city parks for me!
  9. So many of our GeoCaching friends seem to be out of work. I suggest we bring copies of our resumes to swap at the South Bay Pizza Event Cache on April 6 2003. This goes for you out of work as well as those who only think you are secure. The Mrs. will bring hers!
  10. This can be a tough problem... hang in there; eventually you will get it! COM1 and COM3 are often 'shared.' Do you have a modem? What COM port is it on? What SPEED do you have the GPS, COM1 and the software set to? They should match, as well as the other COM parameters. It is even possible your laptop has the COM turned off or otherwise disabled.
