Hi sorry I didn't reply sooner. Yes it does support paperless caching and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is super convenient. We used this little guy for just over a year. It has been not only a great Geo tool but wonderful for hiking some of the 14ers here in CO. Comes with charger/USB cable and lanyard. Condition is 9/10. Wow! I can't belive that no one has broght THESE up yet. You can make huge caches with these and as long as the finder has the good courtesy to close them up correctly( and its not hard or requires any previous knowledge) then they are bomb proof.

+1 Any of the new models have it figured out. Also the forerunner 305 and 405 has better reciver. I'm Hash runner and Geocaching while running 10ks along the route is a tone of fun.

Great job on that camoflage!! Muggles would not be a factor much either.. Did you weight the bottom to prevent it from blowing over? The cache compared to the weight of the plant is very heavy. It says put pretty well. Also the "head" of the cache is about 3" into the ground to hide the rubberbands that hold the "camo". It has been found by one person so far.

I think I have one that would drive some of the locals Crazy. and... and the action shot...

Anyway..its our responsability as finders to let the owners of the cache know of its condition. There have been plenty of caches that I have let the contents dry out from not being put back right. Or put back in place because it fell. Thats part of the caching experience.

I am tring to use Pocket quires and I just dont get how they work. After I set up my prefrences do I just wait for a email? Can someone please help and slow Geocacher?

Whoa whoa! Slow down. Changing the requirements to hide a cache in the favor of making it harder to hide the cache will result in only one thing. Less new caches. i would rather log 10 ok caches then one great one. Not to rasie my stats but because 10 caches will give me a overall better and longer caching experience then one well hidden/hard to get to cache. Make sense? It should because its logical.

Look everyone. This is what it comes down to. Is is legal? In most cases yes it is. That being said its up to the would be cache owner and would be cacher to decided if its worth it to them to go get the cache. As long as your not breaking any(or at lest not many) laws the put the darn cache whereever you please. If a concerned cacher gets to the location and is not comfortable about getting the cache the they just don't have to get it.

hey, i found one of these too! was it green aluminum? that would be wierd. i wonder if they are the same, cause i've never seen one like the one i found. nothing too crazy, just a cool bottle opener! t c for me..It would have to be a hacky sack. Not your run of the mill $1 ones but a real footbag $20-$30. Me and my rock climbing buddies hack all the time and we love that thing.

I would say that would just make caching more exciting.....but I'm a bit of a risk taker. Law enforcement sure can be over the top sometimes huh?

I would say I would chalk up as a rude cacher. but in the favor of proctecting our caches. I am also a rock climber and avid wieght lifter I dont take to kindly to messing with other peoples stuff. In caching its just annoying but when i'm 80ft up on a face of some cliff and some punks come by and start screwing around with your ancor its a life threating situation. The point to my comment is that I love my fellow cachers and despise those that ruin and vandel other people's things.

Now I know where to look for car keys Seriously though. I have seen people get pretty creative with those skirts. We did a cache about 2 weeks ago that upon walking up appeard to be another "under the skirt" cache. but was actually a painted magnetic strip of metal that blended in almost perfectly to the pole itself and took us a good 15 min before I accidently smacked it right off the pole.

I agree, the final is a bit too close to stage 1, I go into "ground zero searching mode" when my GPSr is in that range and often put it away within 25 feet. I would archive the cache and start over to be fair to your previous finders. I like this idea

I downloaded the lastest drivers and when I plug the mini-usb side into the unit it makes the found hardware beep on the computer. Then when i try to go into mapsorce or any program that talks to the GPS and I try to send or recive it just acts as if there is not gps units conected. Any ideas? I will paypal 5 bucks to anyone that can help me with this. I'm leaving on a trip and I need the metroguide for that area. btw the usb cable is brand new and the gps was bought off a friend in almost new cond. he does not have the CD's or owners manual he said.

Its a great idea. Look it does not actually "harm" anyone and the ones who would be "annoyed" or "offended" by something like that really are taking life to seriously to begin with. Its a fine idea. i would just make sure to put it out in the middle of no where so that when it does go off it does not attract local attention and get moggled. What will probly happen is the FTF will crush it with a rock or something.

Wow...I have 18 But I've only been doing it a month and I'm picky (no micros) must be higher level of diffculty. Well congrats on the high numbers. Someday...
